Annual Events/Service Programs by the month they are typically held in:
JANUARY
Trivia Night- Our annual trivia night is held in late January/early February. Planning for this event begins in October, as we like to have everything mostly settled before the holidays. There is one large committee that we then divide in two; one part works on questions and the other on donations. The whole committee is asked to work, moderate, and float during the event. This is our largest (and most fun) fundraiser!
FEBRUARY
Outstanding Working Women of Illinois (OWWI) – This award is sponsored by the IFBW and is the most prestigious award given by our federation. It is one of the highest honors available to working women in Illinois. Any individual or organization in Illinois may submit a nomination for this award. Submissions selected in February.
MARCH
School Outreach- A one day program sponsored in collaboration with Centralia Rotary that gives area eighth grade students life skills awareness into finances and money management.
APRIL
Equal Pay Day Rally- Equal Pay Day is the date that symbolizes how far into the current year women must work in order to earn what men earned by the end of the previous year. For most women of color, the wage gap is even greater. Centralia BPW holds a rally each year in order to grow awareness and fight to close the wage gap.
MAY
Recognition Night – This is the night that we award our scholarships, honor our members, and hold installation for a new set of officers.
JUNE
June Fun Night – Each July we forgo a business meeting for a night of relationship building and revelry. The event varies each year; it is hosted by the President-Elect and the Education Committee.

CCBA Food Drive Collection by BPW members.
OCTOBER
BPW Week, including our annual award night for Woman of the Year and Boss of the Year.
BPW Week – The 3rd full week of October. A state-wide celebration of working women, their success, and their accomplishments.
Boss of the Year (BOY) & Woman of the Year (WOY)- Each year during BPW Week the club honors a BOY & WOY. Anyone from the community may submit applications for nominees.
