The Centralia BPW Education Foundation was created in 2023 for the purpose of promoting and supporting scholarships to deserving students continuing their education beyond secondary education and to the general welfare and education of the citizens of the City of Centralia, Illinois and surrounding community.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises funds to support the scholarship program and other educational programs in the community.
Membership is open to any individual who pays the annual dues and agrees to be bound by the Articles of Incorporation of this Foundation and by the rules and regulations adopted by the directors. Membership dues are as follows: any member in good standing with Centralia BPW local organization is $5.00 and any other individual is $50, due annually. Dues can be mailed to Centralia Foundation Treasurer: Nancy James P.O. Box 502 Centralia Il 62801.
Our Board of Directors and their term limits are as follows: Melanie Ainslie-3 years, Tischa Daugherty-3 years, Stephanie House-3 years, Karen Walsh-2 years, Dawn Cleary -2 years, Becca Deomes- 2 years, and Nancy James- 1 year.
Executive Board serves for a 1-year term. Term serves from November 1 to October 31. They are as follows: Melanie Ainslie- President, Tischa Daugherty -Vice President, Nancy James- Treasurer, Karen Walsh – Membership Secretary and Recording Secretary (will be 1 person for first year).
